One fine day weeks ago, I suddenly woke up and had this sudden craving for pochero/bulalo. Yes, I want to eat something very unhealthy and ultimately rich in cholesterol. I want to indulge my long suffering taste buds for a change.
So I got up early, studied the contents of my fridge for the first time and was dismayed. I technically don’t have anything except a couple of rather wrinkly tomatoes, onions, garlic and some weird mishmash leftovers from meals past. I am rather a mediocre cook, well, let me put it like this, I can cook but I just DON’T like to cook. I am feeding myself only, why would I bother to chop and mince so many items and cook just for one? Anyway, so I booked a cab, inwardly cringing at this luxury, but I am hungry and I want tasty food. I am stressed all week and I deserve to have something very tasty. I went to the ever friendly but expensive Nakumatt Mega to purchase a chunk of beef and I gleefully pointed at the big chunk with marrow on it. Man, this will be very greasy. Bought potatoes, Japanese corn and some salt leafy stuff I could not identify.
For mediocre cooks out there, this is probably the easiest way to cook pochero/bulalo. Read more
