I usually do all the shopping on the last day of the trip, at least I am already assured that I wont starve in a foreign land just because I miscalculated on my budget. 
When you think of Singapore shopping, you think of Orchard Road and its rows and rows of posh shopping malls. I like shopping, I just don’t like spending my hard earned bucks on something I could probably buy knock-offs for 1/8 of its price. Think Prada, Chanel and Louis bags that could cost an arm and a leg but are easily affordable in Chinatown. Way back home, I don’t mingle with the rich and famous, so who cares? Nobody would know if my bags are knock-offs
