Sleepless No More in Singapore: Day 3

I usually do all the shopping on the last day of the trip, at least I am already assured that I wont starve in a foreign land just because I miscalculated on my budget. :)

When you think of Singapore shopping, you think of Orchard Road and its rows and rows of posh shopping malls. I like shopping, I just don’t like spending my hard earned bucks on something I could probably buy knock-offs for 1/8 of its price. Think Prada, Chanel and Louis bags that could cost an arm and a leg but are easily affordable in Chinatown. Way back home, I don’t mingle with the rich and famous, so who cares? Nobody would know if my bags are knock-offs

Sleepless in Singapore Day 1

Esplanade

Nothing says ‘Singapore!’ than the Merlion Park and nothing stands out like a sore thumb that screams ‘poor tourists!’ like haggard looks, big backpacks and Changi Airport smell. We’re not broke, we’re just cheap that’s why we saved up all the cash for the taxi and decided to spend more on energy by staying at Changi till morning. McDonalds and Starbucks helped us get through the night. Not really a cheap idea though. Fastfood in Singapore cost almost 3x more than what it cost back in PH.
